Makesha Burnett, is a worship warrior, with a heart for arts and prophetic ministry. Her passion for creative expression is beautifully captured in her book, The Story of a Psalmist, which shares her journey of faith and love for God’s word. Rev. Hubert & Dr. Annette Joseph - Pastoral Team Leaders
Rev. Dr. Annette Joseph and Rev. Hubert Edison Joseph are the heart and soul of the pastoral team at Freeport Wesleyan Holiness Church, bringing decades of faith- filled leadership and plenty of Trinidadian warmth. Dr. Annette has over 50 years of ministry under her belt and a serious passion for family life and deliverance ministries. As the CEO of the Caribbean Family Support Network, she’s spent more than 30 years counseling, training counselors, and lecturing at the Caribbean Nazarene College. Whether it’s youth camps, women’s ministries, or evangelism, she’s all about helping people experience God’s love and freedom in every aspect of life. Rev. Hubert, with over 30 years of service, including 20 years as District Superintendent of the Wesleyan Holiness Church, is a true pillar of faith. A teacher at heart and a talented musician, he’s focused on discipling and equipping believers for their walk with God. Together, this powerhouse couple leads with wisdom, love, and plenty of Trini heart, inspiring their congregation to grow in faith and live out their God-given purpose.
Andre & Renee Dasent - Marriage Ministry
Andre and Renee Dasent are the passionate and dedicated leaders of the Couples Ministry at Freeport Wesleyan Holiness Church. With over a decade of love, growth, and faith under their belt these teenage sweethearts are committed to strengthening marriages, fostering healthy relationships, and building a supportive community for couples of all ages and stages. Inspired in the early years of marriage, by a similar Christian couples ministry they felt called to create a similar support system for young married couples within Freeport. Andre’s calm and thoughtful demeanor perfectly complements Renee’s warm and energetic personality, creating a safe space for couples to grow spiritually and emotionally, build strong friendships, and address real-life challenges together. Their vision for the Couples Ministry is bold and transformative: to foster healthy marriages that thrive by tackling issues often overlooked in church, such as parenting, finances, and intimacy, all while keeping Christ at the center. Guided by their favorite scripture, “As for me and my household, we will serve the Lord” (Joshua 24:15), they strive to inspire couples to embrace a God-centered marriage that flourishes in all areas of life.
Rosanna Joseph-Cardines - Children's Church
Rosanna Joseph-Cardines is a dynamic and passionate leader at the Freeport Wesleyan Holiness Church, serving as the Children’s Church Leader. A Clinical Social Worker and accomplished Children’s Author of ‘Peebo the Pebble’, she brings over a decade of expertise in child development and ministry to this vital role. Known for her bubbly personality and endless energy, Rosanna has a gift for captivating both children and adults with her engaging and creative teaching style. A true worshiper at heart, Rosanna’s love for worship and evangelism shines through in everything she does. She is a proud Trini often blending her vibrant culture and love for God to inspire the young minds she leads. Rosanna’s no-nonsense approach, balanced by her compassionate spirit, creates a nurturing yet structured environment where children can grow spiritually, emotionally, and socially. When Children’s Church’s "sunshine" takes over, it’s a sight to behold—every heart is captivated by her teachings, leaving with renewed joy and a stronger connection to Christ. Her services are filled with joy, creativity, and meaningful lessons that help children and adults alike connect deeply with their faith.
Dwayne, Liselle Modeste & Dr. Reuel Burton
Bro. Dwayne Modeste, Sis Liselle Modeste and Dr. Reuel Burton are the passionate and laid-back BIONICS Youth Group Leaders at the Freeport Wesleyan Holiness Church. They have been leading the young members of the church for the last year. Their vision? Well picture this backyard on a sunny day, filled with a vibrant group of young people growing, laughing, and fellowshipping together in Christ and of course it won't be freeport without Food! They are all relaxed and approachable, creating an atmosphere where young people feel safe to explore their faith, ask the tough questions, and build lifelong relationships. Our youth leaders find the greatest joy in seeing persons accept Christ and flourish in their spiritual journeys. Their motto focuses on teaching the Word of God and spending time with our Father, growing spiritually and spreading the Gospel to others. Looking ahead, our youth leaders are focused on building an even more welcoming space where young people can thrive spiritually, emotionally, and socially. Their unwavering dedication makes them all inspiring guides for the next generation of believers.
